The cost of unmeasured course planning
Right level → right course → measurable progress
A student whose level is unknown ends up in the wrong course: bored or overwhelmed students, inefficient lessons, unhappy parents. Flalingo's school assessment fixes these four problems at the root.
We don't know our students' real levels
Age-appropriate CEFR measurement
A speaking-based, kid-friendly test for primary/middle school and an adaptive CEFR test for high school. Every student gets a standard level label — no grader-to-grader variance.
CEFR A1–C1
Testing lands on the teachers
Share a code, the rest is automatic
No exam writing, no hand grading, no list keeping. Joining, scoring and reporting run automatically; teachers only share the code.
Teacher effort ~0
Email and permission logistics stall everything
No contact data requested from students
A name is all it takes to join. Parental consents stay within the school's own process; the system collects no extra personal data from students.
Minimal personal data
Results are scattered and incomparable
One class-level panel
Every section's results on one screen with a class filter. A ready level map for course planning and parent meetings.
Class-filtered results list
Paper exams and eyeballed placement turn course planning into guesswork. Flalingo brings standard CEFR measurement into the classroom with a class code — without adding load on teachers.
School testing in 3 steps
The only admin task: creating a class
No student rosters to upload, no emails to collect, no chasing participation. Create the class, share the code; joining, scoring and reporting run on their own.
- ADIM 01

Sign up and create your class
Open the panel with your school name and email. Pick a class name like "9-A" and its grade band — the system generates a class-specific join code and QR.
Admin effort: ~5 minutes
- ADIM 02

Write the code on the board
Students open the join page and type the code and their name — no email, phone or password. Primary/middle-school students get the kid-friendly speaking test; high-schoolers get the adaptive CEFR test.
5–10 min per student

Results per class, in your panel
Each student's CEFR level appears as they finish. Filter by class, watch completion live, remove junk entries with one click.
Same-day results
Student data kept to a minimum: Only a name and test answers are collected from students — never an email, phone number or birth date. The school confirms parental consents at signup; results are visible only in the school admin's panel.
The pedagogy behind the test
Each grade band gets its own test
One-size-fits-all tests don't fit children. Flalingo gives primary and middle-school students a gamified speaking-based assessment, and high-schoolers a Cambridge-style, IRT-based adaptive CEFR test.
Flow
- 01
Pick the grade band
You choose the band when creating the class; after entering the code, students are routed to the right test automatically.
- 02
Primary & middle school
Kid-friendly speaking tasks: describing pictures, short questions. Students answer by microphone; AI scores the responses.
- 03
High school
An 8-question adaptive CEFR test: difficulty shifts with each answer; B1+ students finish with a short speaking section.
- 04
Results
CEFR levels are listed in the class panel; students also see their own level on a kid-friendly end screen.
Adaptive difficulty (high school)
Each answer adjusts the next question's difficulty — a simplified version of the IRT logic used by Cambridge and Pearson Linguaskill. More reliable placement in 8 questions than a fixed 25-question quiz.
IRT-based (θ updates)
Kid-friendly speaking test
Younger students describe pictures and answer aloud instead of filling forms. Scored with Azure Pronunciation Assessment + a CEFR-calibrated AI rubric.
Gamified tasks
Calibrated item bank
Questions come from a CEFR-calibrated pool; wrong options represent typical learner errors, making lucky guessing artificially harder.
8 picked from 94 calibrated items
Cheat-resistant
The answer key never reaches the browser, right/wrong feedback is withheld until the end, and question order is shuffled per student.
Server-side scoring
Minimal personal data
Nothing beyond a name is collected from students; email and phone are never requested. Results are visible only in the school admin's panel.
No email / no phone
Confidence-scored results
The high-school test reports a level plus a confidence range; borderline students are flagged, reducing course-placement mistakes.
Level + confidence %
The test is not an official certificate; it is a pedagogically balanced CEFR estimate designed for in-school level mapping and course planning.
The real level report that lands in your panel — with a class view
Below is an example of the report detail Flalingo's AI engine (FLAI) can produce. In the school panel, every student row shows a CEFR level and score, filterable by class.
The live preview is a sample report detail; the school panel lists a CEFR level and score per student, filterable by class.

What school leaders ask most
여기에서 답을 찾지 못하셨다면 kurumsal@flalingo.com 로 문의하실 수 있습니다.
- Correct. A student only types the class code and their name. Email, phone, password or birth date are never requested at any step — which is why the flow works even with the youngest groups.
